Self pitying whinge

Post by Meggy on Tue May 27, 2014 6:25 pm

I'd been having an easy ride with only occasional problems but the last few months have been really difficult. I'm still thinking through a fog, am getting almost daily headaches and today the bone pain and weakness in my upper arms is so bad I got stuck trying to get my jumper off. My mood lifts with the sun but the bone pain increases after being outside. I've not heard anything about my next appointment, I just hate not knowing what is going on.

Anyway, enough whinging, I know I've still got it lucky compared to some of you but just needed to vent (stole that phrase from my form).

Only upside is I feel as though I now legitimately can belong to this site:-)

Hi Meggy,

Having a rant is good, i completely understand about the bone pain, i also get more bone pain after being in the sun, i imagine partly this is due to my bones relaxing in the sun and once the heat goes, the bones are than reacting to this change and makes it worse.

Yes the hospital do keep us waiting, have a bank holiday would slow them down , i hope you get appointment soon.

best wishes

Hi Meggy,
So sorry to hear you are feeling a bit rough, not fun at all.  I totally agree about the sun, it always lifts me too but today the damp and misty rain has really seeped into my bones, I thought it was just me when my upper arms have done nothing but ache today too and I just can't get warm.  I hope you get your appointment soon, it really is hard to plan life when you do not know when they are going to be.  I know I would totally lose the plot if I didn't let it out at times.
Linking arms with you,
Sue

Hi Meggy

I understand exactly how you feel and could extend the Pity Party I've been having today to include you if you like! Things are moving forward for me, but I could do with it quickening its pace. I feel old and decrepit today and my brain has turned to mush! I don't know how some of the lovely people on this forum have been coping with this for so many years and both admire and look up to them.

Take care, Love

Thanks Lozza:-) Brigitte you are spot on, I am full of admiration for those people on here who are having to battle the establishment while feeling like this. I didn't think about the rain causing problems Sue, I haven't had the problem of feeling cold too much as I'm going through the menopause and my internal thermostat is completely shot!

Driving to Meadowhall with the family tomorrow, that'll be a test of my stress management all right!

Ah, yes, the old pity party! I have been invited there many times since I started dealing with all of these darned symptoms over 3-1/2 years ago. It's very hard not to show up at these parties from time to time. I say raise a glass to all who are suffering, put a smile on your face, and march on! That is, after you get all of those well-earned tears out!

Sorry you're having a bad time, Meggy.  Crying or Very sad  Please know we all understand, and we're here for you when you need a shoulder.

Hi Meggy

Hope today's a better day for you - but you defo are a legit member of this forum club, don't worry about that.

I'm a founder member of the Pity Party - laid the table and baked the cupcakes!!
It's a moveable feast and an ongoing occasion!

Keep us posted on your progress forward - you might have to give us a quick reminder now and again, as the old HPT brain(s) tend to need this.

Love from Tigerlily xx
