problems logging on with iPad
Hi Edwin
Are you aware of any problems with logging on with an iPad? I started having problems yesterday when I could log in but couldn't post. This morning when I tried to get on, it went straight to the Forumotion page which said it was doing essential maintenance. Now I can't get on at all - as soon as I get to the log in page it jumps to a different site, usually a page on the App store inviting me to download a poker or a dating app! I've had to dig out my cumbersome old laptop which I hardly ever use now and which is SO slooooooow compared to my trusty iPad. I don't have problems with any other sites on it, just the forum.

Re: problems logging on with iPad
Hi Jasmine
Sorry hear of your logging-in problems.
If the web page is redirecting, it sounds like your browser has picked-up something nasty that causes the redirection.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything about Apple devices or their browsers or security options, so you may be better-off looking on an Apple support forum for browser hijack and browser redirection.
Maybe another of our members with an iPad can help?
Does it make any difference if you go to www.hyperparathyroid.org.uk instead of www.hyperparathyroid.forumotion.co.uk ?
I will post a question on the Forumotion support forum and let you know if I find anything relevant.

Forumotion were carrying-out maintenance yesterday and earlier today, so this may explain why you could log-in but not post.
Is there any possibility that you inadvertently clicked on one of the adverts ?

Re: problems logging on with iPad
Hi Edwin
I'm back on now on the iPad but unfortunately it's the mobile version and there is no sign of a black bar to pull down to revert to the classic version, and I can't remember what I did last time to rectify it and get back to classic. Such a pain - I really don't like the mobile version. Any ideas?

Re: problems logging on with iPad
Cancel that Edwin, I just looked through the old posts from "iPad gone bonkers ...", repeated what you said to do last time and Eureka, here I am .....
Thanks for your help Edwin. I think it's probably the law that iPads have to go bonkers from time to time.....

I've had the forum cutting out and heading to the App Store several times recently, especially yesterday.
Mine must be BONKERS too.

Re: problems logging on with iPad
The forum dropping-out could have been due to the maintenance, so please met me know if it continues.
If you do a Google search for 'iPad redirect to app store', you will see that this is a common issue and it seems to be related to advertisements.
