Nelly's Vertigo
Good Morning Nelly,
I don't have much free time today but just wanted to say could your vertigo be benign paroxysmal vertigo? I know there aremany causes including Menieres etc, my vertigo was actual anaemia! I would ask to see an ENT anyway. BPPV is actually tiny calcium crystals that form in your ear or commonly called ear rocks, normally they stay put but if they get dislodged they float around your inner ear canals, there is a movement procedure they can do to try and float them out, a bit like a pin ball machine! You probably know this already but it could be just a thought.
Say Hi to Edwin for me and hope he doing well
Have to go, Dh waiting,
Hugs Sue

Re: Nelly's Vertigo
Hi Sue
I think it probably is BPPV, they have said previously it's Labrynthitis but it isn't as it doesn't fit in with that.
I'm a bit loath to have the Epley manoeuver done as I have read some people are lots worse afterwards. Funnily enough I was wondering about anaemia but my bloods last time were ok, problem is I can't take iron as I have ulcerative colitis which complicates things.
Will see what the doc says next week although I'm not expecting much from her !
Thanks for the thought Sue,
Nelly

Re: Nelly's Vertigo
Hi Nelly
I have problems with my iron as well, my body can't store it and I am allergic to oral iron so I have to have infusions every 6-9 months.
Simon had ulcerative colitis I think and he had to have infusions as well.
