What I read into that wasn't that a full neck exploration was a waste of time, which was what the guy was saying.
But his point that even if you take out the gland that is causing the most obvious problem there maybe another one just sitting there to take over as the one causing you problems.
Am I right ?

I think the main point I took from it is that if you have two enlarged glands and both are removed, one may be working perfectly normally even though it is enlarged, whereas the other even if enlarged but smaller could be the one causing all the problems. Therefore if only one adenoma is identified and removed they could be leaving behind the one causing trouble.  Ring any bells......?
