Bee sting on toe Empty Bee sting on toe

Post by Amanda Lynne Tue Jul 29, 2014 6:25 am

I trod on a bee on Sunday and got stung under my toe. It hurt like hell for a little while, I put ice on it and it seemed fine.
Last night it started itching and all around my toe and on the top of my foot are itchy. Guess I must have a bit of an allergic reaction. The itching is driving me mad, I've taken an antihistamine.
Lesson learnt wear flip flops in garden.

Ooooh ouch! Daft question but did you manage to get the sting out as don't bees leave their stinger thingy behind when they sting? Keep an eye on it Amanda as you don't want it turning nasty, especially as you already have painful feet.

Hi Ladies,
I did pull the sting out, I know you are meant to scrape them out so you don't squeeze the sack of poison but it was too B****y painful and I couldn't walk anywhere to get something to do it with. The antihistamine is starting to work, the itching is getting better and the poor old piggy looking toe is less piggy looking.
Yes achey feet and big fat hot itchy feet don't go well together.
Hope you are relaxing on your Birthday Jasmine and getting treated and fanned to keep you cool. Have a great one. Very Happy  I love you
Signing out with a big trotter.
