Automatic login
Hi Mr & Mrs Admin
The automatic login function doesn't seem to be working for me, not sure if it's a problem with the forum or my iPad's gone bonkers again. I did install the latest software update iOS 8 today so don't know if it's something to do with that, although I checked all my saved passwords in Safari and the Forum one is still listed correctly. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Automatic login
Hi Jasmine
Apple thingies are a mystery to me, so I can't comment on whether the OS update has anything to do with this.
One possibility may be that Apple could have introduced an additional security measure to prevent auto-logins by default and you may have to give permission.
However, I can't find any mention of this on t'internet.
I do not believe that there is any problem with the forum itself as it seems to be auto-logging-in OK on our two accounts.
Does it make any difference if you use this page: https://hyperparathyroid.forumotion.co.uk/login

Re: Automatic login
Cracked it! Had a bit of a play around and I've got it working again although it's set up slightly differently using Autofill, probably due to the software update. Thanks anyway Edwin - didn't think it was a problem with the forum.

Re: Automatic login
What did you do Jasmine as it doesn't work for me and never has done? I always have to change to desktop mode, go to log in, my details are saved so I press the login button, but when I go back to the mobile site I have to press login again - it's a real clat.

Re: Automatic login
Are you using an iPhone and/or iPad, Meggy? And do you just get the mobile site rather than the full site in all its glorious technicolour? If so, try the link which Edwin posted a while back which restored me from the mobile site to the 'proper' site. It's in the thread 'iPad going bonkers' and the link ends in 'mobile?' as I recall. If your login details are saved on your phone, when you get to the forum login page tap the user name box and you should get an 'Autofill' prompt come up below the login boxes, tap this and it will fill in your details, then just press login. Hope it works for you, assuming you have an Apple device........

I'm an android girl I'm afraid, I can live with it, in the grand scheme of things it's not that important:-)

Re: Automatic login
Why don't you just stick with the desktop version Meggy? I actually prefer it to the mobile version on my Android because I can see all the things you miss on the mobile version. Also, download a different browser and try if you haven't already, as some browsers can be temperamental! If I want something to work, it WILL work; can you tell I'm an Android hacker?
