My son got married today in Dubai, this is just the legal piece of paper for the Foreign Office to recognise their union, the big shebang posh frock etc is in February in the Phillipines.   Today was the formal legal side and as such they were both turning up at the church to say "I do". Just themselves and two witnesses, he arranged this last week.............. and his dad who I took to Peterborough yesterday, who caught the evening flight and landed at 4am, hired a car and pitched up at the church and managed to absolutely gobsmack the pair of them. They have just gone out for a meal and he catches the 3am flight back and I will collect him tomorrow lunchtime.  Just been on Skype and waiting for a pic or three that dh says he will send.
My happy news for once!

Aww how lovely Sue for your son and his new (legally speaking....) wife. I can just imagine the look on their faces when his dad chipped up at the church. Such a lovely, heartwarming story I love you thanks for sharing it.

Well, Sue, I'm so sorry I missed this until now! I could have blamed that on HPT brain before surgery, but now I'm not sure what excuse I have! Maybe old age?

Anyway, congratulations to you all!! That is a pretty cool story! I'm sure you all had a great time.

By the way, your son got married on my 43rd wedding anniversary. That's pretty cool too. Smile
