Not much chance of another tumor, I guess.
I just noticed something on my latest lab results that put a smile on my face after a very bad day. I opened the patient portal to check my chloride level. I was curious to see if that level was low or very low/normal like my sodium, potassium, and magnesium. I don't know why I never noticed something else before. My eyes went right to my calcium level. It was 9.0!!!!! That is the lowest it's been since 2009, before all of the parathyroid stuff started! It was 8.9 and 9.0 in 2009, and then it started to rise. I can't believe I missed this latest level when I viewed the results all those times! I am aware that when I get my levels tested, the panel calcium is usually quite a bit lower than when checked with the PTH, and this was a panel check, but it is still very low! So, unless my PTH is up around 150 or 200 or so, I'd say I've been cured of HPT. If that is the case, I have no idea why my shins have been aching again, but WHO CARES?!!!!

Great news Audrey, at least you can rule out Pth causing you symptoms.
Keep up the fight to discover what is.

You're cured, Audrey!! Of pHPT anyway. Just need to sort out the other blips in your system. I hope you have some sort of correspondence with the Nutty Nephro's office before the weekend so you know where you are. Best of luck.
Love and lots of hugs
