Hi everyone, I've been trying to patiently bide my time and see what's happening.
I phoned up my endos secretary this morning and I have 2 appointments. I'm a bit confused.
my next appointment is this month in the joint clinic with the surgeon and a consultant.
Then I have another appointment with the registrain April ????
I'm a bit confused as to this and don't understand why I would need to see a registra after seeing the surgeon to discuss things.this is worrying me a little as to maybe the registra will be the one to tell me I can't have surgery.

The registrar is the surgeons second in command, he/she will be in training to be a Consultant so is one grade below the surgeon. He/she won't override the surgeons decision as they work for the surgeon.

See what happens in the joint clinic appt and query whether you need the April appt.

Thanks nelly
I just don't understand why I am booked in and what it would be for. I can't help worrying it will be because they are turning me down again.
If I am seeing Mr m again then I can't see why I would need to see his registrar

I'm sure you will get some idea of the plan at the joint clinic, they may want to discuss and decide then see you in the surgical clinic. If he still has the same Reg he is very nice Smile

I'm trying my hardest not to worry haha !!!
The joint clinic is the surgery clinic. I think then if they decide then the appointment with the registrar maybe to discuss surgery as maybe Mr m doest have space in his single clinic I've heard they do this sometimes but I maybe wrong.
And I've heard that the joint clinics are very pushed for time. So maybe text other appointment is to discuss futher.
Any way going to try not to worry haha which I am not good at Smile

Hi Rachel,
I just want to say Good Luck for both of your appointments, it is always hard trying to second guess their thoughts and most of the time I get it wrong anyway.  It is hard trying not to stress as well but hope your wait isn't too long.
Take care, Sue

Sounds like things are moving forward for you, Rachel! I am in the US, and we don't have registrars here, so I can't help you with this. I'm just happy to hear things are moving along!! Good luck!
