Hi Edwin

So sorry you're having to go through all this latest cr*p with your health. Sincerely hope you're soon feeling much better. Have you got the type of pacemaker that gives you a zap when your ticker goes a bit bonkers? (I've pleaded with my brain to let me remember the name of the equipment to zap the heart when it goes into one but no, it's not coming .....grrrrr!) My elderly dad has one and it gave him a kick start half way through our granddaughter's first holy communion - we thought he was having a doze - and chaos ensued! Ah, just remembered - defibrillator, that's it ........ Rolling Eyes Embarassed

Hi Jasmine

No, it's not the defibrillator type (ICD), its a pacemaker that kicks-in when the heart rate drops to 60 or lower.

I was supposed to be discharged this afternoon, but the wound has not fully healed, so another night in Yeovil District Hospital.

At least they have free WiFi.

Yikes, my heart rate is regularly below 60, in fact it's usually around 50 - 55, which I thought must be normal for me. No doctor has ever commented on it.....

Hope you manage to make your escape tomorrow Edwin.

As long as it is beating regurlaly, it's not a problem.
Mine was missing beats, which was a problem.

I'm OK and only stuck in hospital because the wound is not healing as quickly as it should.

Thank you all.

I expect to be home on Friday if they decide to re-do the stitches tomorrow.
