Surgery Tomorrow

Tigerlily, Jasmine, Audrey, Amanda, and everyone. 
       I had been off of work and had to go back because the leave was up.  I didn't really want to because of not feeling well at all.  Last week I got a call from the hospital asking if I could come in tomorrow, Monday, for surgery.  I said yes.  I then had to rush up there and have a pre-op visit with a PA and have an EKG.  The ekg showed a little slow heart rate and I think it is probably coming from the parathyroid disease. 
     It's been an uphill climb trying to get to this place.   Originally,  even though the pth was quite elevated, the surgeon wanted me to wait until May just for a scan .  I was very disappointed and thought about going somewhere else like Lousiville Kentucky or Tampa.  Then I got a call and they moved up the scan.  The scan shows an enlarged area of the upper right and he id'd something by ultrasound also which is on the upper right. 
    I have to place my trust in this surgeon.  Just hoping he gets it all.
      Well, I'll post when I am able to on tues or wednesday.

Nancy, I haven't been on here for a while, and I guess I'm not on the Facebook page too often either, because I totally missed your post regarding surgery until after it was over!     I am so very happy you were able to get the surgery!   You have suffered for so darned long!!!    Can't wait to hear all about the surgery and about how you're feeling!

Hi Audrey,
     Thank you.  I hope this is the end of the problems. 

I had surgery on Monday the 11th. 

I asked afterwards how big it was and what he told me was that it was 4x the size of a usual gland.  The pth went to 13 at the end of the surgery and the calcium went to 9.1.
