I have just had results back

Pathology Investigations

Serum parathyroid hormone level 10.6 pmol/L [1.1 - 6.8]
Above high reference limit

Can anyone kindly explain what it means please? Shocked

Hi Paula and welcome to the forum.

The PTH level looks high, but it is difficult to draw any conclusions with only the PTH level.

To be meaningful for an explanation on this forum and for diagnosis  by an endocrinologist, you really need the calcium, phosphate and vitamin D levels from the same blood test.

Do you have these results?
