You may have heard in the news about the HeartBleed bug that may require you to reset your passwords for some websites.

It's not a bug on our computers, but an error in the software of what are supposed to be secure servers that could expose users details.

The problem has existed for a couple of years and has only recently been identified.

No one is really sure if any of the secure servers were actually hacked, so the general advice to change passwords is a precaution, unless there is specific advice that a website is safe.
