iPad gone bonkers ......
Well I seem to have lost my 'classic' format. It was all working perfectly when I inadvertently pressed the 'mobile version' at the bottom of the page, it reverted back to the mobile version but the black bar at the top of the page has gone, along with the tool bar so I can't log out, login, access anything on the toolbar etc. I'm distraught ...... I've fired up my old laptop and got it all going again on that, but I want it working on my iPad again. Boo....hiss ..... Anyone got any ideas how to fix this? I've done handstands and cartwheels to try and revert it back but to no avail.

Hi Jasmine
Can you see the up/down arrow at the top right?
On my PC, the only thing that this arrow does is show or hide the black bar when clicked.

Re: iPad gone bonkers ......
Hi Edwin
No, the black bar has disapeared completely with no arrows at all, no tool bar, no tabs to log in/register etc. I'm on my PC laptop at the moment and that's all I've got too, the black arrow that hides and reinstates the black bar. Presumably the 'other' black bar containing all the options is just for mobiles/tablets but it's now absent on mine. It's so annoying as I hardly ever use my laptop now, and I really don't know what happened, one minute it was there, the next it was gone....

Hi Jasmine
I have one idea for you to try.
On the home page just below the last forum and on the right, try clicking
Delete the forum cookies
It's possible that your forum cookie is storing the chosen layout, so this should (may) reset it.

Oh dear
I will go on the support forum shortly.
We should get a solution there.
I have seen a few iPad problem topics when I was browsing the forum this morning.

Re: iPad gone bonkers ......
Trouble is, I now can't log out of the forum on my iPad. Even if I clear the history and close the browser, when I open up the web page again I'm still logged in. I might have to delete ALL the cookies on my iPad and see if that will work.

well, I deleted all the cookies in my iPad settings and it's made it worse! It effectively logged me out but now I can't log back in again so I can read posts but can't post replies. Even deeper sigh......!

Re: iPad gone bonkers ......
Have you completely lost the black bar and the tool bar too Sue, effectively preventing you from logging in and out etc?
I'm so fed up having to use my laptop now, it feels so cumbersome after the ease of use of the iPad.

Re: iPad gone bonkers ......
Hi I'm having same problems ..have lost the top black arrow that gave log-in/out options. I logged in by trial and error. Found that using a "new topic" button that appeared from time to time at the bottom gave me the log in boxes , but can't log out the same way!! It was all fine last night. Do we have gremlins onboard?? Hope not ...

Re: iPad gone bonkers ......
I have posted a support request on the Forumotion help forum and will let you know as soon as I have an answer.
My guess is that Forumotion have made a change and screwed-up something.
From other posts on the help forum, there have been previous problems with iPads and the mobile display option after upgrades.

Thanks Edwin. Feels a bit like we're in a 'lock-in' situation. There can't be a nicer group of people to be locked in with though

I have just had a Eureka moment (a bit slow today, sorry).
You can log-in and log-out on the navigation bar below the Forum header.

I have found a temporary solution for logging-in on the help forum.
Use the following to access the forum: www.hyperparathyroid.forumotion.co.uk/mobile?

Yes I've tried logging in and out and back in again and all seems to be working OK now. Did you login using the /mobile? option?
