Hello the Admin!

Nancy has emailed me to say that she can't access the forum and appears to have been locked out after 3 unsuccessful attempts.  Is it possible to reply to her cry for help by way of answer to this post and I will copy it to her by email?

Or perhaps you are able to email her direct the instructions to get back in?

Many thanks for your help!

Tigerlily xx

I have changed Nancy's password and sent her an e-mail, so that she can login and choose a new password.

I've been having a similar problem. I was logged out, not by my self and then when I tried to get back in it wouldn't accept password so I requested a new one.
I have now changed password and am logged back on.

Hi Amanda

I am pleased that you were able to get back to the forum.

There do seem to be random oddities with the Forum sometimes, but the support folks seem to dismiss random problems all to easily, so it is necessary to give them chapter-and-verse before they take anything seriously.

I am feeling OK thanks, with the occasional twinge, which keeps me on-edge.

Iron infusion next Thursday - so expecting to feel less tired.
Stress echo test the following week, which I am not looking forward to.

Hi Edwin
Yes the infusions always help, I'm seeing Haemo dept next month with a view to having mine arranged. Which infusion do you have I'm on my third type now I think it's cosmofer but ive had it twice and felt pretty rough after, rashes and stomach pains which I never had with the others.
It is much quicker and only takes about 2 hours where as the others take 3-5, so maybe its too quick and strong for me. I will be discussing this with them.
I can imagine you are feeling a bit concerned about the stress echo test, I hope it will all turn out fine and you will be reassured that everything is working correctly.
Hope you Nelly and Family and animals all have a good Bank Holiday weekend.

Not sure what type of infusion that I have.

The first one was very quick - more expensive, but they had run-out of their normal one, which is a 4-hour jobby.
The second one and next week's are 4-hours and bring your own sandwiches, tea and biccies (I hope) are provided.

I have a suspicion that the stress echo will reveal that I need stents in two more arteries.
I don't mind that, but my long-suffering kidney gave up the ghost for a while after the last angiogram as a reaction to the contrast, so I can expect a repeat performance and another week in hospital.

Nelly and I wish everyone a jolly and warm bank holiday weekend.

Yes Edwin some sunshine would be lovely. Is there no other way they can check instead of doing the contrast ? It seems a bit scary to go through that again knowing what it will do.
Is it the same contrast they use in the pth surgery ? It made me feel really faint, mind you they were trying to force it into my veins as it was taking a long time due to the fact that the surgeon had inserted the cannula with out flushing it through and connected it up.
At one point a nurse was squeezing the bag manually trying to force it in.
I think they were rushing it because I was the last patient in at 4.30. Could this be why he never checked all 4 !!!
Or could it be that he thought it was a big enough size to be the problem and only one showed up on sestamibi. I will never know the answer to that.

I did not feel bad from the contrast, but my kidney didn't like it.
The risk was known and the doc used as little contrast as he could get away with.

Sorry, I don't know about PTH stuff - that's Nelly's domain.
My experience is with Teratoma, CKD, Hepatitis C, Hypothyroid, bowel adhesions and a couple of bits of skin cancer.

Sounds like a Friday afternoon job with your cannula.
My most recent cannula needed a man with a portable ultrasound machine to find a good vein in my arm !
