24 urine collection
Hi All
Can anyone with knowledge of 24 hr urine tests read anything into this.
Urine volume 2.32
Urine calcium concerntration 1.2
Urine calcium output 2.8
Urine creatine concerntration 3.1
Urine creatine output 7.2
I know it shows low on the FHH calculations but is it low on output all together.

Hi Amanda
My results were
Volume 1.52
Creatinine 6.1
Creatinine output 9.3
Creatinine clearance 93
Urine calcium 6.67
Not much idea what it means though

Re: 24 urine collection
Hi Amanda
I think, if I'm correct, that volume is the actual amount of urine you produced in 24 hours (2.32 litres in your case), calcium output is the actual amount of calcium in the whole sample, then they do a calculation to get the calcium concentration based on the amount of urine produced. Same for creatinine. They use the Ca concentration figure in the Urine Calcium Creatine Ratio, at least that's what FP did with mine. My Ca excretion was 4.9, concentration 2.4 and this was the figure FP used, hence my low UCCR below 0.01 grrrrrr!

Have you tried doing the equation to calculate your UCCR?
